Welder / Fabricator

Baker Steel are a growing Steel Stockholder & Fabricator based in the southeast of England. Due to the increasing demand for our products and services we are now looking to recruit a proactive, self motivated individual to join our team based at our workshop in West End, Woking.

The role will include fabricating Structural Steel, Gates, Railings and Staircases in our workshop and also installing these on site when required. You must be willing to help with all aspects of the business.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are fabricated and/or installed to the agreed timescales whilst maintaining a high level of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring jobs are fabricated accurately to drawings and within agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all duties are carried out in compliance with the relevant legislation and CE Marking.
• Ensuring all works are carried out as safely as possible.
• Delivering quality products which are finished to company standards.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 Years experience of MIG welding and structural steel fabrication.
• Minimum of 2 Years experience of MMA (arc) welding and steel fixing.
• Be able to read engineers structural drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Ideally be coded in both MIG & ARC but Coding will be provided.
• A Full clean UK driving licence is essential and ideally experience driving vans.
