Fabrication Drawings & 3D Modelling
Fabrication drawings are specifically detailed drawings which identify and stipulate sizes, lengths, locations and joins for all steel used in a project. They generally include a list of parts and materials which are required in the fabrication as well as any details of welds (if necessary).
For any job, Baker Steel Trading produce 3D modelled fabrication layouts, based on the architect’s drawings and structural engineer’s drawings, which state the steel sizes and relevant connections. These two crucial pieces of work are combined to produce detailed steel drawings which are extensively cross-checked and referenced.
All materials identified are identified in accordance with relevant standards and codes. The fabrication drawing itself will also identify any requirements for heat treatment or stress relieving treatment prior to, during and following completion of the fabrication project.
